Setting up Evelyst POS

A till for restaurants and cafés in the Philippines, set up with you by hand.

Getting an account

Evelyst POS accounts are set up by hand. Ask about Evelyst POS and we will start from there. The POS comes with the Analyst: it isn’t sold on its own.

Signing in

Open pos.evelyst.com on a tablet or a phone. Staff sign in with the store code and their own username.

Your staff

Add your people in Employees, each with a role: owner, manager or cashier. You appear there first, as the owner. You can change a username, your own included, after one confirmation. Renaming someone, resetting their password or turning them off signs them out of their tablets.

Your menu and stock

Add categories and items in Menu, with a photo and a recipe if you want stock to count down as you sell. In Inventory you can restock, record a delivery or adjust a count, and every change is kept in the history. An item that runs out shows as sold out at the till.

Ringing a sale

Tap the dishes, then Charge. A sale is paid by Cash, GCash or Card. Card is recorded with the terminal’s reference: Evelyst POS doesn’t process card payments. A Senior or PWD discount takes the VAT off first, then 20%. A cancelled sale puts the stock back.

Receipts

Receipts print on 80 mm or 58 mm paper. They say THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL RECEIPT, because they are not BIR official receipts yet.

Sales reach your analyst

Every sale you ring goes to your analyst every hour. Press Update now to bring in the latest straight away. Sales you cancel are taken out of every figure.

What it doesn’t do yet

  • It is for food and drink businesses in the Philippines.
  • It doesn’t sell offline.
  • It doesn’t issue BIR official receipts.

Stores

Two stores are included. From the third, each store is an extra charge. See Plans and billing.
